Tom Erik Andersen has created a recognizable surreal world. It is melancolic, humorous and often difficult to be indifferent to. His pictures are always about how we relate to each other and to the world we live in. The faceless people in his paintings are trying to reveal the artists thoughts on this matter. His art invite you to a quiet room far away from the cacophonic world outside. The titles are an important part of his art and together with the painting it communicates to your heart and mind.
- I do not paint what I see, I paint what I feel.
